    Default Interesting new mag repair kit

    As a member of law enforcement I often encounter items that may be of interest to members here. I just acquired a interesting standard capacity P-mag of a type and color I haven't seen before.
    On the surface it appears to be a standard MOE windowed FDE P-mag but the color is different (more of a coyote color) and has the newer blue type follower. Also this one has a NSN number molded in which I haven't encountered before.

    Here's some pics:

    China knockoff's would be my bet...

    ETA:

    Lots of dimensions on the odd-ball appear to be different (making it easier to make).

    It appears to be the new USMC PMAG w/ the Army's (POS) EPM follower.

    So they took a good product, and placed a follower in it from the Army's attempt (and failure) at reinventing a solid product.

    Yay Army!

    CavSct1983= dream crusher!

    I think you nailed it. These mags came from a soldier in 10th SF group at Ft. Carson. I don't think they are knock offs.

    And here I thought this was going to be some kind of rare mag coup....

    As far as the ordinance department goes, it's not "could" it's "does".
