    Default Moving To Sin City

Well I have accepted a promotion with my company which includes relocation to Las Vegas NV.
My only time spent in Vegas has been the usually trips to the strip and casinos. I don?t know much about actually living there. There are some definite pluses which include a lower cost of living due to lower housing costs and no state income tax.
My wife and I do not have kids and have a combined extremely comfortable income level.
I?m interested in hearing from anyone that has experience living in Vegas regarding good areas to look in to live and areas to avoid.
I know everyone has an opinion about Vegas, but I would love to hear from anyone that has experience living there.

We had a regular member that moved there and has lived there for several years now. His name escapes me, but he was friends with Monky and a few other members on here. Maybe they can contact him and he can come back and give you the low down.

That was me. I used to live in Vegas, we moved a few years back due to my job. Plenty of great places to live. I would stay south of 215 and west of 95 in Henderson, Summerlin is really nice. There are some nice areas up in the NW of Vegas. Stay away from North Vegas if you can help it. I too know a great realtor if you want her number. Shoot me a message with any questions and I can get you plenty of info. Still have lots of good friends out there.

Henderson or Summerlin if you're not a crazy clubbing, gambling type. 7 hills in Henderson is really nice and good schools. Summerlin may be the nicest area but it's a bit far from the strip. I have a realtor that specializes in Henderson. PM me if you want his contact info. Btw, now is probably not a great time to buy real estate there. It pretty much defines the real estate bubble outside of silicon valley.
