I guess it's very expensive, but... If I were on well water I think that's exactly the setup I'd have - just in case power goes out.

I'd think if one was on well water, septic, propane, etc., one would have a robust gen setup, fuel storage, etc.

Left the house this morning while it was only raining to take my 5 yr old grandson to the Museum of Nature and Science. Got there at 9, everything was cool. At 10:30 they announced they were closing at 11:30 due to the weather.

Got home and about 10 minutes later my power went out. Bundled up the munchkin and took him back to Parker. Visibility on Lincoln going towards Jordan from I-25 was about 2 car lengths, thankfully everyone was driving smart.

Going to try the return shortly-this time staying off Lincoln lol.

Golden to Aurora was.about an hour and a half. Power line down across i70 just east of tower road apparently. Visibility on Smith road between Buckley and tower was about the end of my hood on the truck. Some moron in a Nissan Altima thought it might be a good idea to pass me on i70, hit a patch of deep snow and lost his shit. Almost hit me, which would have annoyed me, but he managed to get it back in his lane. No power at the house still.

Non-event in Boulder. Currently a couple inches (at most) and zero wind. Power winked a few times at the house in the hills.
