Just got done snowblowing my house . . . and then about half the neighborhood, while I was out there. I live on a corner lot, so i usually just walk the machine up a few houses on each "end" of my walk. Then I went across the street and hit the walks for the 2 older couples over there. Not that much more effort for me and helps them out.

Gonna dry off a bit and then run over to my mom's and get her place cleared off next. She's not too far away.

I think I'm done doing the neighbor's this time. Covered this before. TL;DR, they don't do crap for me when it snows and I'm out of town, so F em.

I'll do it if I'm the tail of a sudden jam to let those hauling ass behind me know, but then they go off when it's some other assclown's turn to get rear-ended.

That would be a smart use of your hazards.

The assholes that are in the middle of stop and go traffic, crawling along in line with their hazards on are just annoying the guy following them with their bright f'n flashing lights. I can see your tail/brakelights just fine, I don't need the f'n flashers - that is, if you're not one of the other assholes driving with their lights off in a blizzard/rain storm.

Forgot to bitch about the Euro car drivers (self included) driving around with their rear fog light(s) on (not self included.)

I thought that rear fog light on the euros was so people would see you when they were flying up behind you in a low visibility scenario? Seems it would be appropriate during a blizzard.

I'm working a 12-hour shift today (won't get off until 2100), the wife has MS, my good friend who rents my basement (member Airborne Pathogen) works nights, so I won't be able to do any shoveling until tomorrow on my day off. Wish to God I had a snowblower or a good neighbor who'd do it for me. Hell, I'd even toss them some $$$ to do it for me. Gonna buy a snowblower in the off season for sure.

Instead of being frustrated the power was out & slow to be restored (understandably so in these conditions) you're thrilled its back on 'sooner' than expected.

Pretty clever if by design.

In my last job I got REALLY good at estimating how long it'd take for something to complete. I'd always slightly overestimate for this reason.

Five minutes early? You're the hero. One minute late? You're the goat.
