That's the "Frise". It comes standard on that model.

The chickens got all wet in the rain, so now we had to lock them in the coop and put a heat lamp in there to help dry them out. The current temps are no problem, but wet birds are dead birds. Now I have to make sure I'm not burning my coop to the ground at the same time.

I told the wife that if the power goes out, we can always use the grill and the smoker still.

I just got home from work - the lights kept flickering there and I was about the one one there....roads have changed to just wet to crap and thinking about going into 4wheel low about 2 blocks from my house. about 5+ cars were getting stuck on the hills; a nice beat up old ford ranger slipping all over the place --- no 4xdrive there.

I have cranked up the heat a bit, happy that my internet is back active after a local outage. I have the flash lights located along with battery powered lanterns.

while waiting at a stop light - the lights went from green to red to power offed to red blinking back to red - in a few seconds....made it sort of interesting - no way was I about to enter the intersection until things stabilized. Got a green arrow and dodged a few cars stuck in the middle of the road....

    Nice to be home

Blowing like crazy here in Parker all morning.

Windows and screens on the north face are plugged up.

Lots of hard power drops, more frequent dips. Thankfully, the office is on a big(ish) UPS and I'm on a whole house surge so I just power through it.

We're up to 2feet now. The State Highway has a foot of snow on it. Power is still out. May have to flush the toilets with river water.

I've got a set of tire chains waiting for me @ a local O'Reilly. Not doing me any good there!

My daughter went to work this morning. She works off of Briargate Parkway (north end of the Springs) but lives near Peterson & Constitution (central/East-side of Springs). It took her just over an hour to get home after getting released @ 11. Her husband (member here) works nights, usually from home and told her they'd just got power back after it had been out for almost 45 minutes. They have a fireplace, but not sure if it's gas or wood. I know they don't have any wood on hand.

I've got 5 or 6 20lb propane tanks and 2 Mr. Heater units in case power goes out. Also have a wood fireplace (and wood supply) but with this wind, I'd be afraid to use it. Got flash lights and candles and a couple of portable grills in the garage. In case we lose power we'll be in good shape. My wife is FINALLY seeing the value in my insisting we always keep a good supply of everything from toilet paper to food in the house. I've requested she keep her phone plugged in to keep a full charge on it - plus, I've got a few of those battery backup thing-of-a-majigs to re-charge them.

My biggest concern at this point is the wind blowing trees over into mine or my neighbors house (my trees, so I have to consider the neighbor as well). Other than that, I'm happy to sit this one out if possible.
