Default Looking for recommendations to get a synthetic stock painted

I just got me a great deal on a Savage 11 Scout.

Love the concept, love the rifle, the color...not so much.
I am definitely NOT an FDE guy.
Call me boring, but I want to get the stock painted black.
I believe Duracoat would be the way to go, but I know myself enough to know that I should get somebody to do it professionally.
    Anybody in the Metro Area?
What can I expect to spend?

You could get it cerakoted. I think more shops do that than the other coatings on guns.

Rit dye might do the trick as well.

Cerakote. Not the cheapest option, but comes out way better than Duracoat.

    Doesn't cerakote require baking?
We are talking about a plastic rifle stock after all...

It wouldn?t be any different than cerakoting a polymer handgun frame and they do those all the time.

The rit dye would be a great way to go. Problem is it works best when the water is boiling or near boiling. I?ve done smaller parts in a pot on the stove. Not sure about finding a container to fit for the stock or how to go about heating it.

Did a plastic stock off a Remington 597 last weekend. 180 degrees for 2 hours.

There is also air cure cerakote.
