Default Welcome to the 1870s, Henry.

As soon as a .357mag carbine is out I'm going to have to have one.

I almost feel sorry for the guys at Marlin.

Nice. I wonder if they will ever do a side loader in 22lr with a threaded 16" barrel.

That's awesome. I sold my Marlin 336 (on this forum!) about 4 years ago because I didn't have anything else in .30-30 and didn't see the need to keep another caliber since I only hunt with .30-06.

But I do miss having a lever-action rifle. There's something very "American" about lever guns and revolvers. Even though I have a few semi-autos, I've always held the belief that "a semi auto is a machine, but a fine revolver is a work of art"

So having a revolver and a lever gun that share the same ammo would be cool.

I have two Henry All Weather lever guns, .44 and .357. Love the .44 with both magnum and special ammo. The .357 is still unfired in the box, one of my sons also has the .357 version and is thrilled with it. I think Henry makes phenomenal rifles and this new side loader sure looks like a winner.

I have 4 or 5 Henry rifles and love them all. Call me crazy but I prefer the tube load over the more traditional side gate.

The little short-barreled .22Mag with peep sights and large loop is my favorite.

Hard to top off that tube during a gunfight, pardner.

In all seriousness, the lack of a King's Gate is the one thing that has prevented Henry from dominating SASS. I expect them to do real well with these.

Yep. The cowboy action guys will scarf these up.

I?ve been toying with the idea of picking up one of their mare?s legs. Glad I held off. Waiting to see if they put the loading gate on them now.

Well fortunately, the varmints I've used it on have been like Tier 4 or 5 level pests and haven't brought their guns to any of our confrontations. I've been lucky.

I wonder if this is something that could be retrofit to existing tube-load-only Henrys. If you could send your old Henry in and have them upgraded for a reasonable price it might be worth it.
