    Default uspsa noob questions

Hi all, I'm going to shoot the uspsa on the 12th, I'm new to it.
I'm going to shoot my glock34 w/rds. I know I need to select 'carry optics', and I'd like to fully load my mags if that's possible.

Would I be in 'U' or 'B' class?

    Thanks all for the info!

Until you have joined USPSA and completed 4 classifier stages/matches, you are a U. U as in Unclassified.

    Load them mags up.

If you download the PDF of the current rules from the USPSA website, you will find the explanation of the classification system on Page 3. Page 107 has the explanation of Carry Optics Division. The magazine capacity thing is indeed a bit confusing because the base gun has to be from the Production list - and Production division has a magazine capacity limit D4 line 9 - but Carry Optics Appendix D7 line 9 "Maximum ammunition capacity: No" indicates that there is not a limit.

You are also always going to be scored Minor even if you are using a pistol in .40 S&W or .45 ACP ( I know the 34 is 9x19)

Thanks for all the info. I talked with some friends and I think my stock g19 might be a better choice to start with, so I changed to Limited.
    I'm lookin forward to it!
