    $2600 yikes.

They're trying to implement a "special road tax" down here. For "road upkeep and what ever else they will divert the $$ to. Proposed 10% per $100k property value. That puts the average home tax rate up another $500 per. Putting us just over the $1k mark, if it passes..

JeffCo has been going up too.

Meanwhile, the JeffCo sheriff was just told he must cut $10M out of his budget. WTF.

Yeah, Adco thinks our house is somehow worth 235K, up from 191K a year ago. It's tough to dispute that when the unremodeled shitbox down the street with 1 less bedroom, 1 less bath, and about 30 percent less land just sold for 244k. All of these numbers are ridiculous...

I fought ours once after we moved in (IIRC) and won!

Done the math several times over the years and it would seem the comps support the DougCo's assessment. Can't believe what people are paying for houses here and wonder how they are getting by. Must be debt because wages aren't rising this fast.

We bought in 2008 in one of the dips after waiting 2+ years, or else we couldn't afford to live here.

Got an escrow analysis just a few weeks ago... Payment going up $~70 to increase escrow for taxes. And, of course, the wonderful "will you give us an interest free loan to cover a calculated shortage (that doesn't exist)" looking like a payment due. No thanks.

Always wondered who pays them the entire amount right away. But it must be a decent amount of people since they try every year my taxes go up
