Why won't my thread title update?

When I update my trading post thread with a price change, I update the thread title in the appropriate box, but in the forum thread list it does not show. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing. Thread titles, once indexed, don't change AFAIK unless a mod changes them.

Just update your original post with a new price.

To avoid issues, only site staff can update thread titles. This is why we advise it best to NOT include a price in a Trading Post thread. But, if you do need a thread title changed, use the "Report Post" icon (which is on every post on the site) on the first post of your thread and list the reason as asking the title to be changed. Be sure to be specific as to what you want it changed to. When a member of teh staff sees it, we will change it.

Yeah, I already did that. I think it helps a sales add when the title changes to alert potential buyers that the status/price has changed without having to open each thread to determine this.

This is easier on many other sites where it is common to allow thread starters to change thread titles.

I see now that under the report button it states it is appropriate to use for "any Trading Post thread requiring moderation"

Hovering over a thread title shows the first part of the thread body. Best to put your price changes there and they will be seen.
