    Default Issues mounting Red dot

So I got the Midwest Industries AK side railed scope mount gen 2 with the picatinny rail top. I also got the Nikon p-tactical superdot which has a built in picatinny mount.

The Nikon will not firmly mount to the rail. It's tight but is loose and moves around. Midwest exchanged the AK mount cause they thought the rail might be out of spec but the same thing happened.

    Any thoughts?

The only decent option for mounting a scope on an AK that wont kill scopes and hold a zero is https://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/category-s/370.htm

I have tried a bunch and this is the only one that hasnt failed me.

If you don't go with one of the hand guards hoser linked to. Take the small clamping section of the mount off, run it across some emory cloth a few passes till the finish comes off. Check for fit, mount it or slowly remove a bit of material till it fits. Not all RDS mounts are a tight fit when clamped on an in spec known mfg rail.

OR call Nikon and tell them the issue.

Unless it is a PSL, SVD or similar I always thought optics on a Kalishnakov platform was kinda silly.
