Great to meet some fellow enthusiasts. Thanks beast556 for helping me get on target.
It was great to see others I knew and to meet new people and make new friends. Thanks to all that showed up, it was a good day.
I also verified that shooting well is a perishable skill. I really sucked at anything over 15 yards. There was a great variety of firearms to sample and targets to shoot at.
Thanks again to all that made it, I look forward to shooting with you again.

Good company yesterday & it was a pleasure to finally meet all of you. I enjoyed putting faces & names to the respective sn's. Very nice to see you again too Dave, especally now/after sporting that shark bite & I'm glad to see you're recovering nicely. No worries on the brass Beast, I'm glad it'll find use. Unsure if there was anyone from the forum there that I didn't get to meet, apologies if that was the case. I did meet a few new folks (Peter, Eric & the golden bearded fellow whose name escapes me just now, sorry) & encouraged them to stop by here. Hopefully they read this & decide to join ar-15.co
Thank you to everyone who was very generous & let me ogle/fondle/sample all of collective firearms as that was a real treat. Being I'm so rifle-centric I was a bit surprised that my favorite of the day was the tac sport orange. Liked it well enough I might have to see about finding one for a real test drive. ;-)
Another unexpected joy was to finally fire my first revolver, yay. It was the Ruger super black hawk special .44, I believe. First firearm I've ever tried that required a bit of extra effort to manage. It actually hurt a little to shoot which made me giggle (a lot) & it was uniquely fun. Thank you for staying a little longer than planned so I had the opportunity. : )
A successful event, I'm glad everyone had a good time. As expected, everyone in our group set an exemplary standard on the firing line as well as for all the folks who weren't with us. We all made extra effort to leave the range in better condition than we found it & packed out a lot of discarded trash as well.
I hope we can do it again in the fall (maybe?) so that other folks who were unable to attend can partake in the fun. Cheers!
