I have 7 boxes of reloads that came to me in a trade. Four marked .244 Remington and three marked 6mm Remington. The brass looks good. The estate I got this from was a precision shooter with good equipment for the time (I still wonder where the 6mm rifle went), so his loading data, marked on the boxes, is likely to be a good starting place as well.
Looking in the Lyman loading manual, the 6mm Remington appears to do everything the .243 does, just a little faster.
So...I have brass.
I am considering watching for a deal on a Remington 700 chambered for 6mm Remington.
Anyone shoot this cartridge that might have an opinion or advice? The internet write-ups I've read for the cartridge read like sales ads so I'm a leery of taking them at face value. I don't need another cartridge, but I've never been one to let limited room in the safe (and no budget) stop me.
