FHUGETABOUDIT!!!
As far as a shoot down south, I know a number of us are member at Frontier Sportsmans club. Provided we can get enough members together, that may be an option. There is also always Pueblo West.
I haven't been out to the forest beyond Woodland Park since shortly before Rew died, so I don't have a good feel for conditions there.
Since Rampart was closed, I've only shot at indoor ranges (Whistling Pines, Magnum), CMSC and Dragonman's. All charge, and may be difficult to set up a group event, especially on a weekend.
If not charging is the primary factor, then the South site it must be. Trash is trash, but having enough bodies in place will tend to squeeze out party crashers, unless they're particularly sociable types.

Is anyone interested in adding a "pay it forward" exercise to the shoot? I know I've got stuff I'd like to pass along to anyone that could find a use for it.

Does Frontier south have the shotgun/ trap area @ the top of the hill when you first enter?
Edit: Nope. Now I know which y'all are referring to. Haven't been to that location before.
