My dad took a civil service job at Lowry Field teaching the Norden Bomb Sight after he was discharged when WWII ended. After living in a few places around the state, my mom and him settled in Monument and lived there for 50 years until he passed away last year. He loved this state especially what it was when he came here in the 40s. I think the native thing is kinda silly; but for those of us that lived our lives in this state before 2000, we saw a much different and better Colorado. It's progressively turned into a shit hole since 2000, and migration is definitely a contributing cause of that. I absolutely hate it here now, and I just want to do my time, get my pension, and get the hell out.
