Skilled or not, this is probably why most "active" nuts select "gun free zones". Even if he was seal team six, the number of armed people in and around a courthouse is....yeah. Real life dictates bad odds when outnumbered no matter "skill".

You should see all of the folks with vapors on the NYT Facebook page talking about a guy found outside an elementary school with a handgun with (gasp) hollow points!

His Army Surplus store "armor" didn't do squat to help. He took a round dead center of the chest. Middle of the sternum level with the nipples. He did make it about 50 yards after being shot before faceplanting in the pavement.

So, someone from inside the building must have shot him it looks like. Good shot.

I wonder what this guy would have felt if the shooter had gone on to kill a bunch of people. He should have felt "If I only had a gun" but likely he'd feel "Yay, I get a Pulitzer!".
