I use a hoodie, beanie, gloves and a heavy carhartt and have for 2 decades other than an arctic 3/4 jacket for running open cab equipment in winter I much prefer the layers
When I was ordering gear for my crews we had uniform shirts and all the standard catalogs of stitched clothing. After everyone ruined their overpriced catalog jackets in a few months I finally convinced them to get carhartts.
Carhartt has its downfalls but nothing holds up to construction better
