Default Sig P230/232 Hammer Return Spring

Learned a very important lesson this weekend on shooting obsolete niche guns.

Doing a full disassembly/reassembly of my late P230SL (P232 transitional hammer) to clean out decades of crud (not mine) and the .4MM? spring broke. "I'll just hop on Top Gun Supply and get a new one" I thought. Nope. Numrich? Nope. Ebay, GB.com, google ads? Nope. Can't find this little spring anywhere.

I've only shot it a few times and picked it up just last year. Not even sure I like it.

I have a call into Sig and they are going to have an armorer call me back tomorrow. Doesn't sound good. I asked how they do warranty work on these and they said they don't.

If anyone knows a good source, please let me know.

There are generic springs I can buy and shape into something that might work but that is my last resort.

What can I possibly give them that they can't make with MIM?

it's pretty sad that a manufacturer can't supply some basic and consumable parts for a gun that was just recently discontinued. It's not like it's been out of manufacture for over 20 years.

Yup. And a much beloved .380 too.

Had this been a cheaper gun, I would expect it and wouldn't give much thought to it. I'd probably part it out and try and cover my loss and buy a newer gun.
