sniper7 - I remember you having quit a bit of "Learn to Fly" sort of material up on the forum not even a year ago. I copied your ad to show it to a friend at work who was looking into that training.

Congrats on the airline pilot job. He should have bought your stuff!

    Dr. Fwd and Marlin,

Are you guys self employed or do you work for someone else? Do you guys do remodel work or new construction? Maybe a combination of both? I'm just wondering if the job market in the Denver area is better for us construction guys than it is down here in Pueblo. I'm going to start looking in the Springs again. I hate the commute, but a guy has to go where the work is. I'm just curious about your experiences with staying employed in this economy. It's been rough on the trades in southern Colorado lately...

@GreenScout do you do framing and drywall? I have two storage rooms in my basement that are partially framed/drywalled and I'd like to get the rest of it done. Might as well give the work to a shooter who needs it.

@vim is your username like VIsual editor iMproved? I use vim on a daily basis to do all my work. I have at least three putty windows with vim open at this moment. Wasn't sure if it was this obscure text editor or initials or something... you don't meet many vi guys anymore.

Yep, that's 50%; the other 50% is from a college fight song.

vim is my regular editor; back in the day vi was reliably on systems where you'd have to download/compile emacs. When flitting from system to system doing sysadmin tasks, vi was what you needed to know.

Well if you know vim you know vi, right I was doing HTML using pico in 1995, and they said, "We will promote you from tech support to web development, but only if you learn to use 'vi'" ... and I've been using it (or vim) every since.

Electrical I work for somebody else,, actually I work for CLP, kind of contract labor stuff.. At the moment hard to say,, Some of My still working contacts are saying they've been doing short weeks. But, that was a couple of months ago.. The guys I'm working for now,, sound like They're just busy enough,, But they also have let people go also..

I do both, though I haven't seen anything "new" in awhile..

As far as the rest of them go,, I'm just a semi-pro,, Although I do seem tho have a natural talent for most anything I have tried.. Heck,, I even figured out Crown moulding,,, Didn't do too bad on it..

3 pages?? You need to go into your User CP and change the settingon how many posts to show on one page. I hace it set to maximum, so it shows 40 on each page.
