    Default Ammo Question

Has anyone used the Wolf Brass Ammo? I'm curious about it. I would never put the old stuff through a rifle but is the brass just as bad?

The wolf gold? I’ve had no problems with it at all.

I "know a guy" who agrees with the above statement and seems to work well for him.

Well there was the older issues with coatings on ammunition, gumming up weapons. Although i think that is a thing of the past, my personal opinion is that steel cased ammunition tends to put more wear and tear on parts.

I'm interested as well. I feel like there is a lot of internet rumor about steel case not being good in ARs, but I've never shot it so I don't actually know.

After 17k, I finally popped my ar's steel case cherry on Saturday. Mags didn't like it, seemed to shoot & eject fine & yes my rifle was dirtier than usual for the number of rounds used. Didn't see anything new of note when my rifle was apart today other than I needed gas rings (again). My only experience with it so that's all I can bring to the conversation.

My opinion is that malfunctions are harder to clear and removed from the gun with steel cased ammunition.

Again, this is my opinion, and I feel like these are the things I have observed when shooting large quantities of steel cased ammunition through any firearm

I'm assuming your gas rings were well used prior to shooting the steel cases?

I shoot a lot & my ar eats gas rings often & well. I think it's the nickel boron bcg. So yes, I was likely in need prior to Saturday. My bad to bring that up in this context.
