    Thanks.

I can attest to the pita factor of steel case when I had to unload a few magazines.

That was lacquer case stuff. The new / grey is a polymer type coating. I've never had an issue with the x39 wolf, in AK's or AR's.

The 223 wolf steel case i run for outdoor ranges where i can't police my brass. The brass wolf is gtg. I have 2-3 reloads on their brass, w/out issues.

Kevden thanks for the reply, I was just curious. I shoot 90% brass cased in my AR's, my kids shoot the wolf it has less recoil for them. In my AK's its 100% steel cased ammo. I don't shoot steel cased pistol ammo every time I have issues. I think it is the cases are rougher and cause drag it seems.

For years and years steel-cased ammo, Wolf and Brown Bear, was all I shot in my ARs. I really liked (haven't shot it in a long time) the Silver Bear ammo. I've had as many issues, if not more, with some brass-cased stuff. My own opinion is I won't have an AR that won't shoot well with steel-cased ammo. For a long time some years ago, that was all a guy could find.

Even some USGI stuff back in WWII was steel-cased...at least in .45 ACP.

I still have a few of the old Russian tins of 9MM, .45 and 5.56 I'm saving for the apocalypse.

Qualifier: Sadly, I don't shoot much these days.

Wolf Gold has never given me any trouble.

I've only shot steel in the AK.

Wolf gold is good stuff. Everything I've seen says its basically M193, just not marked as such. It's one of my go-to ar plinking rounds. Been thru at least 5k rounds of it.

+1 of Wolf Gold being good to go. Never had an issue when I've used it and I'm on another forum where several guys swear by it and shoot a ton of it.

Thanks for the replies, I've been wanting to check it out based it's price, but I couldn't get past my old feelings on the Russian stuff. I think I'll order some
