    Damn, dude. That sucks to have a leak like that. Good to hear you have a good contact for the work and good luck with the repair.

    I know the feeling. We had an upstairs plumbing water leak, woke up to wet carpet and the kitchen ceiling on the kitchen counters and floor. We had to replace almost whole house carpet and ceiling and wall along with damaged lighting. We lived in a motel for a week and final repairs were completed after two weeks. I was never so happy to have had insurance for flood.

    Just to be clear, that's not flood insurance.
