For all the people that wonder if their centerfire fire rifle suppressors need cleaned or not I'll just leave this here

The word from TBAC is this will take 4 - 5 months to get clean .

Got some bore scope pictures of my 30P somewhere with about 1500 rds through it .
The carbon was flush with the face of the first baffle , the carbon tapered off as you got further in to nothing at the last couple. Was about 2 or 3 oz. IIRC , took about 2 weeks of soaking and blasting with the pressure washer to get clean.

Don?t you guys use an ultrasonic to clean those suppressors? I?ve cleaned stuff that had been carboned up since the 1970?s and it comes out clean as a whistle in about twenty minutes.

Ultrasonic cleaner works ok if it not stupid dirty but you have to be careful what chemical you use and I've seen the tubes and finish get damaged where the sit in the cleaner .
Not sure what chemical is in the one at work but I?ve put things in there that have a half inch thick layer of carbon leftover from combustion and twenty minutes later they are spotless. Of course being that the company spent $5,000 on the unit I imagine it works a little better than the average hobby model. Not sure what impact it would have on the finish of something like a suppressor though.
How do you go about using a pressure washer to clean a can?
Do you have a jig or something to hold the can in place while you hit the end of the can with the nozzle of the pressure washer or something?

If there's nothing wrong with having to show an ID to buy a gun, there's nothing wrong with having to show an ID to vote.
