American Furniture Warehouse, Englewood location that is. Went with my older son and his family late yesterday afternoon to look at bunk beds for the boys to make way for baby sister next month. Noticed a few folks in red shirts-sales staff-as we walked in, roughly 5p. Very light customer presence. Asked one of the red shirts where the bunk beds were, he pointed us in the direction and that was all. Found them, looked at the options, there was a salesperson working the area with another family. She offered to get someone to help us.
I was ready to buy if they found a set they wanted. Heard the page over the store requesting assistance in the area. Long story short no one came in the 45 minutes we were in there looking at the different models. Couldn't find another sales person in the store. Now my son has no problem letting folks know his feelings on matters, Army E7 lol, so on our way out he very properly but sternly let the assistant manager standing by the door know his displeasure. As I walked up I heard a litany of excuses; "Wednesday is the slowest day of the week so shortest staff, busy with other customers (where??), you can go online blah blah", seemed like he didn't really care to try to help.
Screw that place, hoping Furniture Row will be a better experience. The sad part is that I saw something I liked to replace my old beat up sleep sofa I need to get out of my family room and replace. Won't go back.
