Problem with a trump announcement is we'll probably never know the truth, other than US forces credibly believe they killed Baghdadi. I wouldn't doubt he made the announcement with little info and before confirmation was/is in. I have about 1% faith in the credibility of every other assertion of Trump beyond the fact the guy was killed (probably by US forces). It's just a factor of his personality disorder.

Guy could've took a random round to the chest from a Syrian homie, but Trump has to turn it into a D- rated 1980's hollywood flick where the cool guys don't look at explosions, the bag guys whimper, and the cool guys have catch phrases before they put on their sunglasses.

    At least you're not bitter.

Eh, "the force" needs some balance from all the cult worship. I've even seen some recently claiming that if e.g. Christians don't vote for Trump, "God will hold them accountable". I guess I missed the announcement where Trump became pope...

Those segments of the right as just as psychotic as the ultra-progressive left, and Trump is correct in his assertions that he could murder someone and still have their support. He's a NY Democrat for f's sake, and a true cluster-b narcissist. People are really that easy to manipulate. But it's not bitterness... I don't kiss boots nor bow to pressure of either side, and I'm not afraid to offend either ;-p

There's the 'cluster-b' reference I was waiting for. I knew it was in there somewhere.

The biggest problem here is that "we" see dead bad guys. "They" see martyrs. How long will it be before someone else steps up to take this guys place?

I don't discount the fact that perhaps some are drawn to the fight by what they see as American aggression or what have you. I do think that argument is WAY overstated, though.

We've killed a metric shit ton of these guys. Yeah, someone steps up. Then they get killed. Wash, rinse, repeat. Every time it seems to me the replacement is a little less powerful and has less influence over fewer followers. They also have far fewer places to hide. The problems is not that we're killing them and creating more, the problem is it's gonna be difficult to keep up this level of pressure on their organizations for more than a relatively short time. It's gonna take generations.

You're absolutely right, we should just give up, stop fighting them, convert to Islam and rip our daughters clitorises out with dull knives. Anything less might make them angry at us.
Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".
