Default Lightweight free float handguards.... easy to install?

Have an old 16 inch upper..... old heavy pic rail handguard, over an ACOG. A little heavy for 3 gun... lots of stuff advertised but need recommendations...... cheap but high quality, easy to install .... what have you found that I should consider?

Tons of options these days. Pick your poison based off your needs and budget and go for it.

I have wired personal rules for choosing a hand guard and there honestly aren't a lot of options out there that meet all of my criteria.

For simple and affordable you might look into some of the options from ALG Defense.

And the ALG/Geissele products are often on sale for the Black Friday weekend.

For the price, I really like my Matrix arms handguard. Not the fanciest out there, but pretty decent for th $75 pricetag.
Bonus: you can install it with a crescent wrench and an allen key.

Aero has a big sale on their keymod handguards - I guess everyone is going to MLOK. I like their enhanced handguard, but it may be a little large for those with smaller hands. Note that you need to add the nut as an option to get it on a standard upper.
