    Default DISH and others

I got my new bill and even though they warned me it was 102.00 bucks. Well after 23 years with Dish I said enough. These company's need to understand that they will go the way of cable if they do not get very competitive with streaming media. Sorry for the small rant.

Was just about to post something about my recent switch from Sling to YouTube TV, YTTV is great, and while a bit pricey compared to Sling, it's still cheaper than Satellite/Cable, and has plenty to watch between live TV and on demand options, the main reason I switched is the unlimited DVR, the wife and I were always going back and forth as to who's recordings were going to go in order to free up space.

Yep, switched from direct tv now to youtube tv. Yttv is pretty nice and carries all the espn channels so I can watch all the F1 instead of just the race.

After F1, I could go without streaming since I get all networks over the air.

Once 5g is viable, I'll drop comcast inet

I dropped payed t.v a little over a year I get local on my ghetto antenna and use a ROKU for watching shows and movies. Mainly old ones, Mainly use the PLUTO and TUBI app on roku. I don't mind the commercials because I'm not paying for the service. I pay for comcast internet, that's it. I got so fed up with having to pay for channels that I never watch or would never want to watch. Also got tired of paying for "Local sports access" fees. I don't watch sports, why should I have to pay a fee? It is limiting, but we have found we hover around the t.v much less and watch some pretty good shows that we would not have watched before. Oh, and Pluto just added The Baywatch Channel.!! 24/7 of all the old Baywatch shows. Good family fun right there!!!!!!

I worked for DISH and DIRECTV for nearly 15 years, and after getting pay tv for free for that long, I cancelled it all after so quit. Been using Roku ever since and love it. Cheaper and for a horror nerd like me, so many options.

Same here, I was ecstatic to find out how many on demand movie options were on YouTube TV, I have nearly all Nightmare on Elm street movies at my fingertips! Now to find time without the kids to watch them.

Pretty soon someone will bundle all the streaming carriers together for one monthly payment

My take on it since streaming services became a 'thing'; People will become so frustrated with so many different sources for their content, with each charging them for the privilege, folks will want to return to getting their TV content from a single source.
Liberals never met a slippery slope they didn't grease.

I wish technology solved people issues. It seems to just reveal them.
