    Default Fair Seas Master Chief

In 2000 after his appearance on "Survivor" I had the opportunity, through a mutual friend, to meet Rudy Boesch. It was a great couple of hours that I'll always hold on to. RIP. Alzheimer's is horrible, I saw what it and dementia did to my mother and know that at least now he's at peace.

I know it's "Fair Winds and following seas", been a little sleep deprived with the early morning (3:17a) arrival of my granddaughter, apologies.

It sounds like he led a very impactful and storied 46 year naval career. Thank you for your service Master Chief and Rest In Peace.

That was the first and only season of Survivor I watched. He conducted himself honorably, not something you see anymore.

I recall a post-survivor interview, he was asked why he supported so-and-so (forgot who).

He replied, "Because I gave him my word." R.I.P.
