Has anyone tried these brownells uppers? Worth the cost?

I assume you could make a buffer tube less pistol or a rifle that could fire with a folding stock in the folded position.

Also thinking of building an upper with upper receiver:

The InRange guys have several videos on them. They look interesting but don't fill a need for me.
