Default Looking for a NFA manufacturer

I am looking for gunsmith with the appropriate license that can take my combination shotgun/rifle, register it as an Any Other Weapon and cut the barrels shorter. Then we would transfer it back to me on a Form 4.

Someone on the east side of the mountains reasonably close to Denver is preferred.

    Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the reply. I won't be receiving the gun until late this week so I'll plan on heading his way early next week.

I had an AOW shotgun. paid the $5. Then realized (after the fact) you cant's put anything other than a pistol grip on it

. IMO buy one of the Remington TAC-14's or Mossy shockwaves . Unless you absolutely must have an AOW, tax stamped shotgun.

Why do this route? Form 1's are taking a few weeks?

If you F1 a shotgun, it's still $200. An AOW needs to be done by a FFL ( mfg one) or from a stripped receiver, to avoid the $200 hit..

Exactly. "Lusting for a $5 stamp." I want a $5 stamp for my collection.

When I Form 1 made my .410 shotgun I made it an AOW but it still required a $200 stamp to register it.

    I WANT A $5 STAMP!!

Not sure what you mean by that. I thought anyone can do a AOW?

There is a difference between transferring a registered firearm (Form 4) and making and registering a firearm (Form 1). An AOW transfer (Form 4) is only a $5 dollar tax. All making and registering (Form 1) is a $200 tax, even if you making an AOW.
