Default exsanguination due to feral hog assault

    Wow!

    Woman killed near Houston.

    That's scary.

They have been sighted down by Springfield, following the creeks north.

    And on the western slope.

    We're doomed!

Tough bastards, too. Sometimes they'll soak up 4 or 5 shots right to the boiler room and still be moving along for far too long.

Pro tip: when calling for EMS, be sure to say " you were attacked by feral hogs" as opposed to "that wild #$%$#&^ pig came outta nowhere and assaulted me!" to minimize response time.

If humans were able to eradicate a number of animals to the point of extinction over a hundred years ago, it seems that we just don't have the will to cull these pigs.

My new buddy Kevin and me doing our part (at a pig butchering class).

But seriously though, TX ranchers don’t want them gone. The hunting opportunities are too lucrative and so they manage them instead of eradicate them.

Hence my comment regarding the 'will'. The problem is their mobility and rapid reproduction. They will be near impossible to 'manage'.

Ranchers may like them, but I bet there are a number of farmers that hate them due to the crop destruction that they're capable of.

If a rancher wants to keep them for the hunting opportunity, let them install fences to contain them and they can manage what's on their property.

It's not the same with pigs (or coyotes). It just won't happen with hunting. I've spouted off about it before, but will save it for later.
