Got an alert on the scanner for something in Putnam County, NY. Is this it? That's my home town and where my folks are still living.

Hard to tell what's going on. Sounds like some people showed up to nothing, and everyone thinks it's overblown bullshit. That's coming from some text message screen shots posted on this guy's account. I'm unsure what is going on.

I followed this pretty closely last night.
The reddit link is pretty accurate however there was a huge hoopla over what info to trust.
Basically there were reports of social media accounts that were reporting on the happenings being hacked and taken over by LEO and used to spread disinformation to cease the rush of supporters. All those rumors were false however everyone loves a good conspiracy theory and it spread like wild fire
The statement released by the sheriff is saying that it was a domestic dispute that turned into a stand off and he was not arrested for any magazine laws or weapon charges and that none were even recovered
Alex the guy who was barricaded in his home said an army friend of his turned him in to LEO because of his 30 rounders...
To complicate the story the media reported that he was taken in to custody but no charges would follow however the sheriff listed about 4 charges that he’s facing( none of which are weapons related
It turned into a big cluster fuck for the supporters and the police and we really won’t know what happened for a while
