    Default Flags and medals

Can anyone recommend someone in the metro area who can frame a flag and some medals?

The flag was in its own triangular frame and the set of medals was in a similar, triangular, frame.

This isn't the sort of thing that we would just go to Michael's and do it ourselves.

You are “was in a triangular frame “ as in past tense. Are you looking to put them back in the triangular frames ?

    Michaels carries the triangle frames.

The frames were broken and although I know none of my guys were responsible it's not worth arguing with the customer so we have agreed to replace them. According to him they were presented already framed and I don't think me buying a couple of frames from Michael's is going to cut it with someone in Cherry Creek...

Nice to see your still around. Sorry you had to come back under these circumstances. I wish I could help. I tried to build my own and with the kit from Michaels and it didn't come out great, so I understand your position. Tim_k and JohnnyEgo are our woodworking guys on here but not sure that's the kind of thing they do. Maybe they could point you in the right direction though.

Only guessing but perhaps someone @ Ft. Logan National Cemetery could offer a lead/referral.

I wouldn’t doubt if the case came from a regular commercial source, there are a ton of companies out there that make these. I would try looking through photos in a google search just to see if the case you need to replace pops up from an online retailer.

If you can find a local professional picture framing store, they can probably do it for you. My dad had a great shadow box done with his dad's stuff from WWI.

Chick also had a great idea above.

Well sorry to say, but those flag displays do come from michaels or hobby lobby. They're not cheap, running in the $40-75 range. They're decently well made, not some of the thinner wood you can buy from wm.

We tracked down who made the Flag Display we got my brothers flag in. The feds went through their supplier. Who used the same one as ................Michaels & Joannes.

Everyone has covered procurement of materials but if I read your post correctly -- its not just about replacing the cases. I suspect there is an individual through Ft. Logan that provides a professional service that will meet the needs/expectations of the client & probably wont break the bank. Local VFW might also be another avenue to find someone that could satisfy the requirements.

Same folks who volunteer to properly retire an American flag.

I spoke to someone at Fort Logan and managed to track down and order a replacement.

Thanks to all for your suggestions.
