I-70 WB blocked by rockslide

I-70 WESTBOUND CLOSED: Beaver Brook Exit 248 to US 40 Empire Jct. Due to emergency rock slide cleanup & scaling operations. No specific estimated completion or reopening time but closure is expected to continue into the evening. **DO NOT ATTEMPT TRAVEL ON WESTBOUND I-70 IN THIS AREA-YOU WILL BE TURNED AROUND-YOU WILL EXPERIENCE LONG DELAYS** No local detour available. LIMITED local access for residents. Suggested alternate route: US 285 out of Denver, US 24 out of Colorado Springs or US 50 out of Pueblo. Eastbound I-70 is closed fully at Exit 203 Frisco & Exit 205 Silverthorne and eastbound US 6 Loveland Pass is closed from Arapahoe Basin - I-70 during ongoing scaling and mitigation work. Targeted reopen of eastbound lanes is 3PM. Alternate route is Hwy 9 to US 285. Long delays are certain. Plan accordingly.
