If any of you had listened to my feeds to see what is going on in Douglas County on any of the apps or on radio reference, all of Douglas County and its towns have gone encrypted and the feeds have been taken down. Fire is not at this time but will be at some time.

I oppose encryption of "standard" radio traffic. If material is sensitive (personal info, SWAT coordination, etc.) an encrypted tactical channel should be used. The citizenry has a right to know what general LEO and emergency actions are occuring in their community.
