Default Truck stolen from Legacy Ridge

A truck was stolen from Legacy Ridge. Stolen truck is a white 2016 Toyota Tundra with black after market rims. Crooks appear to be driving a 2000'ish light Colored Chevy Suburban or similar. Please post if you recognize the vehicle or the person in the video. Thief is a skinny guy light skinned male approximately 17-25 years old, approximately 165 lbs, about 5' 10" with dark framed glasses and dark beard no mustache. See video for details:

BOLO for similar activities from the same crew. This occurred in Westminster but their activities may spread far and wide.

    Thanks for taking a look!

Strange that he went to the neighbor first. Good way to trigger a camera. Hope whomever gets their truck back.

They appeared to be taking things from cars and garages but then took the truck too. Other people in the neighborhood found their car/garages ransacked.

Makes sense. That's a pretty common tactic.

Looks like between 112th and Sheridan on the Northwest, and 104th and Federal on the Southeast.

How in the hell did he start it that quick? Did he have the key? Did the owner leave the key in an unlocked truck?

Agreed. I?ve investigated a lot of stolen vehicles and that was way too fast for a modern (2016) truck. Nearly impossible to pop a locked door and wire jump it in 20 seconds.

who wire jumps vehicles? Nothing a slide hammer can't, or didn't use to start.

Probably got the VIN. Had a key made to the VIN. Or it was a valet and copied the key. Or both. The chip/transponder code has to be programmed in the key for it to start. Only a locksmith/dealer can do this. Or a very savvy criminal with the right equipment.

Lojack and OnStar are good investments as are aftermarket car alarms.

Sorry to hear about the loss.
