We don't need term limits, we need people to be aware of what their congresscritter is doing and to vote accordingly.

There is a way things should be and the way things actually are.

People should save money on their own, but they don't, and thus we have Social Security. (Not necessarily an endorsement for Social Security).

People shouldn't use politics as a vessel to achieve the highest levels of corruption, and voters shouldn't be so lax as to allow that, but they do.

On one hand, I'd agree with you, but on the other, as an idealogical exercise, ask yourself....where would we be if people didn't die from natural causes? E.g. if we were immortal. You might fantasize about all the things you'd do in your long life, but in reality, power, weath and corruption all accumulate and centralize with time. The fact that people die naturally is the ONLY reason we have an impression of free life today. If we were immortal, ironically we'd all be either dead or in tiny cages, serving the same immortal leader of the Huns or some other bullshit.

People like Pelosi and Biden have collected 20-36+ years of power, weath, connections, influence, etc. Even if someone is a shithead, you can only do so much in 2 - 6 years. And even if they aren't, they will still create a bubble of influence, weath, and even corruption even if not intentionally. It's an almost sociologic aspect of humanity. So...while the baby (good politician) goes out with the bathwater on term limits, the baby will be corrupted to one extent or another without them anyway.
