    Default FedEx Driver Shoots Back

The UPS hijacking/shooting was probably fresh on his mind:

Good for the driver. I hope FedEx doesn't fire him. Merry Christmas, scumbag.

I hope the driver recovers from his gunshot to the abdomen.

I hate to say it, but I'd expect FedEx's legal team to circle the wagons to protect the corporate asses, and leave him out on the prairie to fight the Indians on his own. Standing beside him would set a precedent of approving their drivers to be armed, and THAT will never happen.....

...without understanding the unwritten messaging; "Come rob our trucks without consequences."

Maybe they should just make the trucks gun free zones.

"The safety of our team members and service providers is a top priority," FedEX said in a statement, according to WPVI.
This is what companies always say after some issue, but we all know that safety of anything but the bottom line is pretty much ignored. Like how every time a RTD bus runs someone over we get to see a bunch of banners on all the busses about how much RTD cares about our safety.

I thought fedex used a lot of contractors? Maybe the driver was a contractor.

They're still bound by corporate policy.

I would still sue for psychological trauma. Employer did not provide adequate security etc.

Employment is a voluntary arrangement. If the employee didn't like the terms of employment, they can quit.
