Recently, my 6 year old son's school had a "Donut with Dad" breakfast event and I took the morning off work to take him to it. While walking up to the school, my son was asking about seeing some older ladies with children and I told him that some kids don't have daddies to come to the event for various reasons, like when I was gone (deployed, though he doesn't understand that), or because they have to work, etc and their grandpa or grandma or mommy are taking them to the breakfast. He then began to say some kids have their grandpa or grandma, or two daddies or two mommies and that is okay too. I know we don't discuss this in our house, so he must be getting it from school. Talk about indoctrination.

I've commented on this in various threads before, but I just about lost my shit when my 4 year old grandson started using the term "human" instead of boy or girl. My son spoke to the pre-K teachers at PT conference and they feign ignorance of it used in the classroom so we suspect it's coming from Daycare. I haven't spoken to him further on the topic to understand if he's also discussed this with the daycare.
