    Default DIY Cowboy Kydex

Threw together a kydex holster for my Ruger Wrangler today. Decided to go with a sort of traditional western style but do it in kydex instead of leather. Used some carbon fiber looking stuff I had lying around.

Total investment with the kydex and fasteners maybe $7.

That's going to rattle like a mother while on your horse.

Can't rattle any worse than the transfer bar in the revolver.

Besides, it's hard to tell from the photos but the retention is very nice. Not 100% sure exactly what is retaining the revolver but it clicks in securely and requires just the right amount of effort to draw.

Very nice with that pistol! Does it shoot plastic bullets like my Fanner 50s?

Ha Ha, yea, we had great gun toys as kids back in the 50's & 60's. I wore the dual holster Fanner 50's and a Wyatt Earp outfit including the gold vest. Nobody could outdraw me.

I was just thinking that I wish somebody made a secure Kydex sheath for a Gerber Freeman knife. Then I googled it....

No. I can try and take one later or maybe tomorrow if you?re interested. Had to do a bit of hand forming back there so go gentle on me when you see it. I don?t do this stuff for a living.
