    Default Drones over Colorado

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-sheriffs.html

At least 17 mysterious large drones have been spotted flying search patterns over Colorado every night - but baffled authorities can't explain where they are from or who is flying them.?
The article says they have been spotted over Yuma and Phillips Counties. However, I saw 3 large drones that we're doing exactly as this article describes over Lakewood last week. They were flying slow, in a staggered pattern, northbound, paralleling Kipling around 5pm. From far away they looked stationary however as I got closer I was able to tell they were flying at slow speed northbound. They appeared to be winged and not quadcopters (but it was dark so I couldnt tell for sure), so not helicopters, but way too slow for plane large enough for a pilot. Plus, they were low and as I was stopped in traffic I rolled down my window to see if they made any noise. Nope, quiet. So again not a helicopter or even small prop plane that are easy to hear.

I didn't know what they were exactly, but figured some folks from CU or Lockheed or somewhere were testing some new equipment. Very out of the ordinary though.

I don't know much about drones but what I saw appeared to be a fixed wing but flew like a quadcopter. That part had me confused.

Did some quick googling and discovered that there are hybrid drones and a couple that popped up look like the silhouette I saw in the night sky. One in particular is a mapping drone.

It was pretty clear to me by the pattern they were flying in they were searching or something based on the fact they were staggered but flying in the same direction. Not sure if mapping is done most effectively at night, but they they must have been recording some sort of information.

    Something like this or this

And the resolution is probably better with the ability to record in 3-D.

File size with 3-d is problematic if they did all of the space that’s the news is leading us to believe. It would easier to transpose pictures over a topo.

Ohhh ohhh oh got it it’s the beta testing of the new census drones

Nephew in Holyoke says he has seen them. The local cops said it's not legal to shoot them.

We've got to make them adhere to a balanced budget, obv. These space weapon tactics, against your own population, are just out of line.
