I prefer Smiths too, but I will likely pick up a new Python when the 4.25 inch barrel models are released. I sold a beautiful 1980s python because it was too pretty to shoot and they have a reputation for shooting loose under heavy use. It had more value as a collector than a working gun so I sold it off. The new pythons have addressed these issues somewhat with a slightly beefier frame and a simplified lock work that should t shoot out of time as quickly. I hope they work out the bugs because I’d like a python that I can shoot a bunch and not worry about collector value.
