    Default granite countertops

Anyone here have a favorite vendor?
I know nothing about granite countertops but the boss wants to head that direction. I haven't educated myself at all about them yet, don't even know what to ask about or look for.
Just looking for an affordable vendor, and if there's one connected to this forum, all the better. If we have any experts out there feel free to throw some ideas my way.

I found a guy in Centennial that was pretty affordable and they did a good job on one of my rentals.

If you have a Costco membership, check them out. Got a great deal several years ago. Replaced all of our countertops with ubatuba granite and it also included new Kohler sinks and supply and drain plumbing for kitchen, 3 baths, and a wet bar. Replaced all of our contractor enameled steel bathroom sinks with nice porcelain units.

While we're talking about it, can our cabinet guys chime in with what kind of cabinets will readily support the weight of granite, or concrete? I currently have builders grade base cabinets from Depot.

Builder grade cabs installed properly will support 3cm stone tops no issue.

Islands with large overhangs need special.consideration cabs and tops.

Tim K. Im getting ready to talk to him about some for our next flip we are working on now. I purchased a piece the last time and installed it myself. I will be doing the same this time as well.

That seemed thin, but I went and looked and that seems about right, with a thicker edge. A buddy just did his own concrete counters and I feel like his were at least 2" (5cm) thick. I haven't looked into it yet, but I assume I could go thinner.
