Default Property manager for AirBnB or VRBO?

Anyone on here have an investment property that is used for AirBnB or VRBO? I have general questions about what to look for in a property in general, but I'm mostly concerned with first hand experience with property management companies specifically. How did you find yours? What are the general rates/fees to be expected? Etc. Anticipating suggestions that I do it all my self, thanks, but that is not in the equation. I can take a pm as well if you're not interested in discussing publicly. Thanks.

I could ask a friend, who owns his own property management business, to give you the straight and skinny.

Pretty sure he's actually getting ready to sell his business and retire.

Unfortunately I don't have a list of specific questions, more just interested in what percentage the fees range from. My dad is looking for a property management company for his rental and so far it seems to be very fee heavy. AirBnB and VRBO are much more hands on since there are new "renters" every few days. I'm somewhat experienced in starting businesses that pay for themselves, but don't really make any money, so I'd like to grow out of that and graduate to actually making something. I wouldn't go out of your way to ask, but if he has some insight, I'd appreciate hearing about it. Thank you.
