    Default Casualty Care class

Apparently my previous posting about this class was an ad... i'll leave out the link and price info this time...

Going to be taking cmailliard's class over at Bristlecone on 2/18. Looking forward to the class.

I think there are still some spots open if anyone else was looking for this class.

I've been carrying around a first aid kit with tourniquet, Israeli bandage, quick-clot gauze, etc. Figured I might as well learn to actually use them.

I am sure there are still a few spots open. There has been a big push . . . . pretty much all over the country for Stop the Bleed type classes. I have been doing this class in one version or another for almost 9 years now. I have made some subtle changes to it every year, mostly based on the current evidence based research coming out of the TCCC and TECC Committees.

One of the biggest topics is the new generation of tourniquets. We spend some time on this using the evidence based research done on tourniquets. Remember marketing is one thing, evidence is everything. The same holds true for hemostatic agents.

Since many people over the years have asked, I have decided to start selling products again. I currently have two vacuum packed kits that North American Rescue Products is making for us as well as access to all NAResuce products. One with Combat Gauze, one with regular gauze. More info on these will be presented in class. Those attending will be able to purchase at a discount.

DenverGP, be sure to bring your kit to class, see you next week.

Great class, content and instructor, Chris Mailliard. I took it last month.

I've got an extra guest range pass or two for any ar-15.co members who are attending and want to get some range time afterwards. I've got a shooting lane reserved for 2:00pm. Figure that gives time after class to grab lunch (there is a great cuban place nearby) then a little shooting.
