If your marriage was for less than three years and/or there are no children involved, I don't believe so. I went through this fairly recently in Colorado. The final decree isn't a year old yet. My take is that it depends on how "amicable" the situation is. I listed my guns, tools, and some higher end camping gear. She listed jewelry, antiques, and photographic equipment. The judge asked us a few questions and if we were satisfied with each others responses. We had pretty much gone through our financial statements together and knew what each other had listed.

If you are still on friendly terms I suggest you do the best you can. As stated earlier, nothing good will come if you do less.
