Does anyone use one for cleaning their Pistols, BCGs etc? What model do you use? I was looking at some on amazon just afraid they will be too small for a Glock or 1911

I?ve thought about it but I find cleaning my firearms the old fashioned way to be relaxing and therapeutic.
I know we have a bad ass ultrasonic at work but I doubt too many people here would be wiling to spend $5K on one just to clean their guns.
I've had my eye on the Hornady 2L but damn if I didn't miss the price drop over Thanksgiving.

the Harbor Freight one works pretty good. Takes a while for it to warm up the water, add some cleaner of your choice, dunk the glock/parts. Give it several cleaning cycles. Seems to work.
I've got a 7.5gal heated ultrasonic tank I bought off amazon about 15 years ago. Also have a Hornady Hot Tub, a 2 liter benchtop lab model, and a teeny 1/2 liter one good for watches or jewelry.

I have a HF ultrasonic. Fill it with very hot water and a couple of drops of Dawn dish soap. Run the parts for several cycles and most dirt/carbon wipes right off.
I also use mineral spirits or non-chlorinated brake cleaner outside with a nylon brush to clean anything stubborn on metal parts. Although not the safest cleaning solution, I haven't found anything that cleans better than a little gasoline on a rag. I just don't have anything recently that needed that level of cleaning.
It's not so much what size you decided on. But the warranty of the unit. I scored a 2l HF unit when they were selling the stainless ones. Price point and warranty wise they beat out the well known medical supplier ones. Sadly they no longer offer it.
I'd go for a S/Steel unit over the plastic ones. The 30A has a drain, so do a few other offerings on amz.

I have the big Hornady. No complaints, but don't use it very often. You can get a 16" upper in without tipping as I recall, and longer barrels in if you just flip it around and repeat while leaving the other end hanging out (can splash around a bit, though).

Be very careful what you put in the tank. You can destroy some finishes really quickly if you use the wrong fluids. I think Kazoo helped me pick something out back in the day.
I ended up settling on this, but it isn't cheap...
