Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to Fight, he'll just kill you.

Home Depot (and I suspect that Lowes) has a ton of them..

Damnit, these masks dont stop viruses.

This is going to cause some OSHA issues quickly.

Explain how they do not stop viruses?

My boss was looking to get a few "more" N95 masks last Monday and found near every source online sold out. He stopped by one of the Lowes in town and got 1 one 5 remaining 10-pack boxes. While he was checking out the package, an Asian woman shoved him aside and took the remaining 4 boxes. Word is that all Lowes and Home Depot's in Colo Spr are sold out now.

Interested in hearing his response as well. If one of the transmission vehicles for this virus is by inhaling air exhaled by an infected person I can't see how a mask wouldn't block you from that vector; at least in casual/short encounters.

ETA: I'd confess up front that this is an area I have little knowledge about, but what little I know suggests the N95 or greater would offer a fair amount of protection.

It's been discussed on the news and by others on this forum on the other thread. These only stop water particles that carry the virus. The virus can still pass through on smaller particles as you continue to breath through a mask. Some say 30 minutes max for these dust masks. Also these are not air tight and air can come in through the sides or gaps.

These are dust masks, not bio masks. About as good as gun background checks keeping guns away from potential criminals. False sense of security.
