Default state of the union address

I didn't watch from beginning to end, was in and out, BUT I liked what I heard and expected, for the most part, to see what I saw. BUT, what was Nancy thinking when she ripped up the speach at the end? Once again showing the world that our leaders have zero respect.
Personally I thought the move was childish, like a little kid screaming that doesn't get thier way. Real classy..........NOT.....

I thought the line up of special guests was very good.
Laws aren't "preventable" measures. IOW, more gun laws won't stop mass shootings.

I read somewhere it was a "spur of the moment" action.
However, she spent a lot of time before the end of Trump's speech laying out the transcript in 4 or 5 equally sized stacks on her desk so she could stand at the end and rip each stack in half.

    Pathetic - not surprised.

The only protester escorted out was one of Nancy's guests - not surprised.

    Trump's address was excellent.

I'm under the impression that she ripped up the speech after Trump didn't shake her hand. Didn't watch and don't follow; just what I heard.

Maybe if she would've kept to protocol and introduced him correctly, he might've shook her hand. She showed no respect to start the night and tore up all doubt that she has no respect at the end.

I watched it in its entirety. She didn't announce him in the traditional way for starters. I'm not sure he saw her reaching for the handshake and he didn't shake Pence's hand either. I think the message from POTUS was awesome and uplifting. The Dems demonstrated that pretty much anything good for the country they don't like it. I also think that Pelosi tearing up the speech was contrived and extremely petty. The messaging from the Dems will not be well accepted by Joe six-pack, IMO.

They're desperate and have no solutions to offer. Their candidates are a train-wreck and they can't even pull off a simple caucus count. They're pissing off their own candidates by making allowances for Bloomberg due to their desperation in having a viable candidate. They have themselves to blame for Ukraine doing more damage to Biden than Trump. They must be terrified by the prospect of losing power.

My hope is that the Dems will lose the House for all of their wasted effort on impeachment that started when Trump was the President elect. We've made progress, but could be so much further ahead if the Dems weren't dragged along kicking and screaming like petulant children.

The missed handshake was before the beginning of the speech. The ripping up of the speech was after the end of the speech. A lot of edited videos were going around that made it look like she ripped it up right after Trump missed the handshake and turned his back to her.

Edit in an attempt to be nice.

Further, the vast majority of your posts are just political shit posting. And what is the difference between my "I heard" and your "I read somewhere" post? Nothing.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ip-speech.html

Mike Pence accused Nancy Pelosi of planning all along to rip up the president's State of the Union speech, an accusation the speaker's office denied.

But a canny observer caught the Speaker actually practicing the moves under the table before the speech was over.

And the camera also caught the pages 'pre-ripped' as Pelosi made her final move when the president's speech was over.

'It felt like it,' the vice president said on 'Fox & Friends' Wednesday morning when asked if the speaker had planned her move ahead of time.
A spokesperson for Pelosi insisted that her ripping up the text of Donald Trump's speech was not pre-planned.

I feel badly for her voters, she's a fidgeter.
