    Default Galil Build

Anyone have recommendations for a Galil builder? Thinking about buying a parts kit, barrel, receiver and having someone build it.

    thanks

Hillbilly Firearms seems to get good reviews with their Galil builds..

Have you ever built an AK or any other rifle? You could probably do it yourself with some minimal tools. you don't need to rivet anything like an AK so it comes down to pressing in a barrel, drilling the pin and then pressing the barrel components.

Jeff at HillBilly firearms is very well respected for his Galil work.
He usually has a long list of guns to be built.
He even does some custom work.

Also, Galils are threaded barrels, not press in.
They require indexing and a mill cut for the extractor, once you have the barrel set and headspaced.
There is rivet work for the trigger guard.
Troy at InRangeC2 ceracoats guns, which I like very much on the Egyptian AKM he built for me.
Here is a pic of some Galils Troy built for customers:

You can let Troy know I suggested you contact him.
ALSO, if you want a Galil kit with a wood hand guard I suggest you get it ordered soon.
APEX doesn't not have many, we just relisted some we found in storage.
Buy the barrel when you purchase the kit and save as well.
    I do appreciate your patronage!
